When undertaking a conversion project, we strategically identify underutilized ‘big-box’ properties, often obsolete and in disrepair, located in underserved markets throughout the country. Through extensive market research, including zoning analysis and market demand studies, we repurpose these buildings as Class-A self-storage facilities. One of the greatest benefits we have seen in our existing market locations has been the surge of local business growth and development, following the opening of our facilities. True Storage has already successfully converted a former Sylvania light bulb factory, multiple Toys R Us, Stop & Shop, and Circuit City locations – with Dicks Sporting Goods, Shopko, and other former retail conversions in the pipeline.
